RLPB staff praised for EI role
Rural Lands Protection Boards (RLPB) State Council Chairman, David Lister, today thanked all Board staff battling equine influenza (EI) over the last six months for their exceptional efforts and dedication in helping bring the crisis to an end.
"RLPB staff from throughout NSW were drafted into the EI frontline from day one and worked tirelessly until the threat was eradicated," Mr Lister said.
"The efforts of all the RLPB veterinarians and rangers who have worked along hours and often away from their homes for an extended time have proven to be a vital cog in the State’s EI response.
"The fact that EI is no longer present in NSW is in part due to the exceptional efforts of Board staff from around the State working in both field and control centre operations.
"I thank every one of them for their exceptional efforts and dedication to the task of ridding NSW of EI."
A THS must be completed online before travelling to any horse event at www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/equine-influenza or by calling the EI hotline on 1800 675 888.
